Cycling : SSGC crowned national champions

SSGC won the tournament after securing a total of 220 points, 22 ahead of the Army, who finished second.

KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) claimed the 60th National Cycling Championship in a five-day event at the National Cycling Velodrome in Lahore yesterday.

SSGC won the tournament after securing a total of 220 points, 22 ahead of the Army, who finished second. Punjab bagged third position with 62 points followed by Sindh with 46. Balochistan managed a top-five finish after accumulating 28 points in the competition.

Meanwhile, SSGC’s Noor Alam grabbed top spot in individual standings with 55 points while Army’s Mohammad Sajid stood second with 51. Another SSGC cyclist Habibullah finished third after earning 40 points.
