Punjab govt prolongs two weekly offs indefinitely
The Punjab government has indefinitely prolonged the two-day weekly offs for government employees.
A notification has already been issued for the implementation.
On Tuesday, the Prime Minister said the two day weekly offs was only to last till the October 31. However, now the extended weekend will stay in place till further notice.
The holidays were announced for public servants in a bid to curb ongoing power shortages in the country.
Speaking to the media the Prime Minister had announced Rs116 billion for the energy sector to tackle the power crisis.
