Roof collapse: Two minors killed, three injured

MARDAN: Two minors were killed and three others were injured when the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy downpour in Jalala, Shergarh area of Mardan in the early hours of Saturday. According to Shergarh police official Ikhtiraz Khan, the roof of Afghan refugee Mastu Khan’s house caved in at around 4am.  Neighbours rushed to the site and managed to pull the victims out from under the debris. Two minors, identified as Muhammad Amin and Masoma, died on the spot, while the injured were taken to Mardan Medical Complex. The injured were identified as 15-year-old Asiya, 12-year-old Saleema Bibi and five-year-old Naseema Bibi.
