Prevention: Anti-measles drive begins in Matiari

More than 109,000 children will be given the preventive vaccination during the drive.

HYDERABAD: A district-wide immunisation drive has been started in Matiari where more than 109,000 children will be given the preventive vaccination.

Matiari deputy commissioner Shahid Zafar Laghari asked the health department at a meeting on Friday to complete the campaign within 15 days with the help of the Expanded Programme for Immunisation.

The district health officer, Ghulam Rasool Memon, told the meeting that 183 children have so far been infected by measles.
