ISLAMABAD: Polish Oil & Gas Company is exploring natural gas in Dadu district of Sindh and will start gas production in May this year, which will help ease energy shortages in Pakistan, says the ambassador of Poland. Speaking in a meeting with Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Zafar Bakhtawari, Dr Andrzej Ananicz said Poland was interested in further expanding economic and trade ties with Pakistan in all fields, particularly in energy, which would give a fresh impetus to bilateral relations. He stressed that Pakistan and Poland should work together in order to identify possible areas of cooperation and impart proper information to business communities of both sides. Highlighting that Poland uses coal as a primary raw material for energy production, he said Poland had expertise to provide assistance to Pakistan, which also holds vast coal reserves, in power generation through this cheap resource.
