Early on Wednesday, families of the victims gathered along with shia leader Allama Amin Shahidi and told the media that the families had accepted the agreement and that they will be burying their dead at 9 am on Wednesday.
Shahidi assured that the decision was being announced after the families had agreed to it.
Asked about protests continuing in other parts of the country, Shahidi said that they had been directed to wait for this press conference so that they can hear the decision from the families of the victims.
Over 80 residents of the Shia Hazara neighbourhood in Quetta were killed when over 800 kilogrammes of explosives packed in a vehicle detonated in the middle of a busy bazaar on February 6.
The attack led to countrywide agitation, with families refusing to bury their loved ones till their demands of the army taking over the city and targeted operation against the perpetrators were met.
On Tuesday, the groups leading the protests - Majlis-e-Wehdat-e-Muslameen (MWM), Unity Council of Quetta, Shia Ulema Council and All Pakistan Shia Action Committee - called for an end to the nationwide protests and sit-ins after talks with government representatives.
The families of the victims have, however, refused to budge. The heirs want the culprits to be immediately arrested and hanged in public.

Its still so sad to hear that victims of the family haven't been compensated for the earlier event, although I believe that there is no material replacement to human life. These people don't even have proper tools or infra-structure and I have seen local people digging mass graveyards with broken stuff. People of Pakistan need to express some more solidarity with people of Hazara even after burial of their loved ones by social boycotting the people who have been brain-washed by LeJ and related community. There are some pages on Facebook that are still expressing hate and people should help report them. It is our moral responsibility.
Kaira convinced Allama Amin Shahidi and he announced the sit-in from the entire Pakistan, but the agitators refused and said that they will continue for the sit-in.
No one knows that how much money was paid to Allama Amin Shahidi who got hold of few agitators and convinced them to speak in front of the TV cameras, gave their individual statements, so that sit-in should come to a conclusion from the entire country.
It was a very unfortunate incident that happened just after one month.
The first Quetta carnage of the year 2013 took place on January 13, in which 86 people got killed and left many injured. The second Quetta carnage took place on February 16, in which 89 people were killed and 200 people got injured.
As the PPP is running an incompetent government, people are afraid that the third carnage may taes place in another one months time. There are so many people who have migrated from Quetta due to the fear of Third carnage in Quetta.
"Early on Wednesday, families of the victims gathered along with shia leader Allama Amin Shahidi and told the media that the families had accepted the agreement and that they will be burying their dead at 9 am on Wednesday." I assume this is Early on Tuesday....

History repeats itself. Hajaras should go back to Afghanistan. What is next, Muhajirs should go back to India and Ahmadis should go up there. Learn to live like human beings.
I am a Sunni... I totally support shia's demands as it is not only their but also our demands too!!! Enough of the government fooling people around!
@Nasir Mahmood. You actually think they are disrespecting the dead bodies? Man your thinking is very shallow.
@Ali Khan: Then Indian Muhajirs Should go back to India, because they migrated to Pakistan after Hazaras..... Be logical Bro... Terrorists should be eliminated from Pakistan.
we must start a nationwide campaign to end the sectarian hate towards each other, if we want to stop shia killings we need to stop hate. here is my take on how we can stop hate and stop shia killings http://stopextremism.wordpress.com/2013/02/18/hate-is-the-reason-english/
I am with you my Shia brothers. It doesn't have to do anything with me being a Sunni. We are Muslims and brothers..Inshallah things will get better!
I salute and fully support them
They want culprits to actually get punishment? their demand is 101% right, culprits should be hanged in public, Islamic sharia also give permission of this.

@Stranger: Shuhda don't spread infections...... Don't you worry about us....
Their demand to arrest the culprits and punish them is genuine. Whole the nation is grieved oer the tragedy. With heavy heart, I reques the families not to disrespect the bodies more and bury them.
no more verbal surety they want action now. because u will say that your words aren't quran or hadees
The families of the victims have, however, refused to budge. The heirs want the culprits to be immediately arrested and hanged in public.
I totally support families demands. I also have a feeling no one will be punished for this. Government will arrest some people and let them go soon after.
They want culprits to actually get punishment? Now thats asking too much. By the way I just want to know how they really feel with the dead bodies of their children still beside them. That thought obviously doesn't do much to the majority of Pakistanis
When I see these innocent faces of children & women crying for their dead, I actually cry! How can any human target innocent children & women? Only an evil monster can do something like this!
their demand is 101% right, culprits should be hanged in public, Islamic sharia also give permission of this.
salute them.
If they dont bury the dead, it will lead to lots of infection especially among the vulnerable young children . Please bury or burn ASAP.
they are right.one Shia leader cant decide what people 1000z of people want, they are my brothers and sisters regardless there branch, color, cast, dont get up till its fixed.im with you all the way
Im a Sunni and I support my Hazara brethern's demands!! Enough of this bloodshed of our Shia brothers and sisters - Its time they got justice!
