The Prime Minister's order comes after the exertion of great pressure on the government by the Supreme Court and the rallying masses.
The operation is said to be starting from today.
The prime minister also removed Inspector general (IG) Balochistan Umer Khitab and ordered officer Muhammad Mubeen to take office as Deputy inspector general (DIG) investigations and IG Fyaaz Sumbul as DIG operations Quetta.
A six man parliamentary group, led by Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, arrived in Quetta in a short while ago to determine the details of the bombings and to convince the survivors and victims to bury their dead.
Earlier today, Chief Justice said, "action should have been taken against Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) long time ago."
At this time, no final decision has been taken about handing over Quetta to the army. Presently, the security responsibilities of the city lie with the Frontier Corps (FC).
Other political parties such as Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and others have termed the government incompetent and demanded swift action.
Hazaras have been demanding a targeted operation against those propagating sectarian violence in Balochistan, since the last Quetta bombing on Alumdar road last year.

Though unjustified and condemnable, there seems to be a cause and effect relationship between the Karachi and the Quetta killings. Both are senseless and should be condemned by all and sundry. Terrorists of all hues and of all political and religious affiliations should be caught and brought to justice without fear or favor.

Why was this not done after 100 people were killed few weeks back. Why another 90 something people had to die for them to start some sort of operation. What is really wrong with these people in power? Do they not fear Allah? They are all going to be accountable to God.

No announcement needed at this this. Not only people of Quetta but people of whole Pakistan wants clean sweep of terrorists from country. Army should take command and should do a major operation in Balochistan Sindh Punjab and KPK. If we look at the facts, it is not hidden from anyone what Army is doing. No doubt army is playing vital role on borders but at this time internal threats are far more alarming and dangerous from exterior threats. Assemblies should pass consent to army for this major issuee of Balochistan. Unfortunately if this Peaceful strike of Hazara Community turned into voilence then what could happen no one knows.
Whats the use . How is that one man responsible ?
Our police is not for protection. All of them should be fired and you will see that the situation will get better.

You are correct. But the Punjab Chief Minister does not accept the presence of TTP Punjab chapter despite their Public Relation efforts in print media via e- mail. He will even ignore the e-mail of Maulan Asmat Ullah TTP Chief Punjab Chapter sent to senior media persons early January with follow up phone calls by Ahsan Ullah Ahsan, the TTP spokesman.
Yes , No one want the matter to be resolved otherwise the order would have been that all members of L e_ jhangvi should lay down their arm by 24 hr or be ready to die not only in Quata but where ever they are in the coyntry .

Announced operation? Is this a Benazir Income Support Programme that he has to announce. Order the forces to rip them apart.

Transferring IG Police is not the solution of the matter. He should be held responsible being failure of police force in Balochistan.
Not until the safe havens of terrorists in Punjab & FATA are eliminated there can be an end to this genocide.
