PM forms parliamentary committee to visit Quetta, assess situation
The committee will submit a comprehensive report containing its assessment and recommendations.

The Prime Minister has constituted a six member parliamentary delegation directed it to visit Quetta tomorrow to assess the situation arising out of a terrorist attack resulting in the deaths of over 80 civilians.
The office of premier Raja Pervez Ashraf issued a statement late on Monday, which said that the group comprising Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Mir Khazar Khan Bijrani, Maula Buksh Chandio, Chairman Public Accounts Committee Nadeem Afzal Gondal, Senator Sughra Imam and Yasmin Rehman (MNA) will be travelling to Balochistan’s capital.
The team will meet the affected families as well as representatives of security and intelligence agencies, besides meeting the provincial administration. The committee will submit a comprehensive report containing its assessment and recommendations.
Ashraf has called for a comprehensive report from the intelligence agencies regarding the breach of security by an explosive laden truck used by the terrorists during the attack at Karani road yesterday.
The prime minister reiterated his resolve that the government will take all possible measures to identify those involved in this heinous terrorist attack resulting in loss of lives of innocent civilians and bring those responsible to book. The statement said that Ashraf has spoken to governor Baluchistan Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi and Chief Secretary Balochistan Baber Fateh Yaqoob and made it clear that no effort will be spared to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice.
