KARACHI: To guard against interference in the ongoing trial of the country’s worst industrial disaster, the Sindh High Court has told the concerned trial court to decide on the police’s report for dropping key murder charges against the Baldia garment factory owners was strictly in accordance with the law.

This order came in response to petitions by several workers and human rights groups, which accused Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf of interfering in the trial.

The organisations had gone to the court against PM Ashraf and the police, for their alleged attempts to save the owners of the Ali Enterprises.
