Pic Deaths: Bail pleas of Efroze officials adjourned
Efroze Chemical makes the drug Isotab, which is believed responsible for the deaths of 213 heart patients.
LAHORE:
District and Sessions Judge Nazir Ahmed Ganjana on Saturday adjourned till February 18 the bail petitions of two Efroze Chemical Industry officials accused of criminal negligence in connection with the deaths Punjab Institute of Cardiology patients.
The court adjourned proceedings as the counsel for Nadir Feroz, deputy managing director of the pharmaceutical company, and Shakeel Nagra, plant general manager, was absent due to ill health, as at the last hearing.
Efroze Chemical makes the drug Isotab, a contaminated batch of which is believed responsible for the deaths of 213 heart patients.
