Captain Merissa Aguilleira, who led West Indies into the ICC Women’s World Cup final against Australia, believes her team has a psychological edge over its opponents in today’s clash.

West Indies edged Australia in a stunning eight-run win in the last Super Six stage game, according to The Indian Express. “We will have a psychological advantage over them,” said Aguillerira.

“I must say, for that game, everything went wrong for us in the morning. We had a few players falling ill and one of the players got injured and had to pull out at the last minute.” She conceded though, shifting the focus to the finale, that Australia was  still a tough side to beat and they will have to give their best performance.
