Speaking to FCCI members during a visit to the chamber on Wednesday, Dr Hasrul Sani Mujtabar pointed to numerous opportunities for joint ventures, following the signing of the free trade agreement between Pakistan and Malaysia.
He said his government was providing adequate facilities to foreign investors for launching business in Malaysia. These investors, he said, could find a huge market of 500 million people because Malaysia has a free trade agreement with members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).
Praising the quality of Pakistan’s textile products, he called for increasing exports by taking benefit of the free trade.
He asked the business community to participate in international conventions to be held in Malaysia in coming months. The Malaysian International Furniture Fair, 10th International Halal Showcase, International Jewellery Festival (Spring Edition) and International Jewellery Festival (Autumn Edition) will be held from March to October this year.
