Social services: National Bank wins award

KARACHI: People from different walks of life have praised the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) for its role in community development, disaster relief, women emancipation, infrastructure development, environment control, water purification, sanitation, special children care, sports and culture, education and health, says the bank in a press release. At the 3rd Corporate Ambassador Awards here, Sindh Minister for Women Development Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto lauded NBP’s efforts to curb cancer and stressed the need for joining hands with the bank in the fight against the disease. “We must appreciate the good efforts of all individuals, institutions and organisations for the betterment of society,” she said. NBP was also given an award at the event, which was attended by dignitaries, writers, journalists and artistes. NBP EVP Irtiza Kazmi said the bank would continue to serve the people and would always stand with the nation at all times.
