FAISALABAD: Lawyers’ strike in the city continued for the second day as they stay adamant on their demand that the government set up a High Court bench in Faisalabad. Litigants had to return with extended dates for their hearings. No hearings were held at the courts as the protesting lawyers vowed not to return to work until their demand was met. Three lawyers, who went to the court, lost their bar membership for what the lawyers called “disloyalty to the bar”. The protesting lawyers gathered on court premises and set up their camps in front of the courtrooms to stop any lawyers who tried to attend a hearing. The lawyers said that they would put locks to each of the courtroom if the bench was not set up by February 18.  Lawyers have been boycotting once a week since 2010 to demand a high court bench in the city. They now say that the boycott will continue till the formation of the bench.

Is there any distinction left between "officers of court" and ordinary law breakers?
