DI KHAN: The youth of Mehsud tribe on Monday announced to stage a protest to demand compensation for those affected by the Rah-e-Nijat operation in 2008. The tribesmen have started their journey to stage a sit-in outside the Parliament House till their demands are met. They will be joined by the youth from Peshawar, Islamabad, Tank and Dera Ismail Khan. A youth committee member Sherpao Ahmed Shah told The Express Tribune that they are peaceful people and will demand the government to compensate them in a peaceful manner. He said that despite rendering unprecedented sacrifices in the operation carried out by the government, they got nothing in return. “We are passing through a very difficult time and the government should redress our problems,” Jamal Hussain, a youth said, adding that their protest will be peaceful.
