The inauguration ceremony of the sub-campus of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) will be held on February 13.
The ceremony will be held at Regional Agricultural Development Centre (RADC) in Burewala.
Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, the UAF vice chancellor, said on Sunday that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is expected to preside over the ceremony.
He said the ceremony will be a colourful and attractive affair with a bull race, a bird show and horse dancing featured. The committee last week approved a neurocognitive behavioral sciences research centre at the campus. The centre would help students and faculty members to gain access to latest technology.
A horse riding school will also be open to students and faculty, established with the help of outreach programme of Endowment Fund Secretariat.
Senior tutor Dr Aslam Pervaiz said that All Pakistan Student Week will be held at UAF from March 3 to March 8. Students from all parts of the country will participate, he said. The committee discussed the desirability of every university department publishing a book, covering all aspects in its work to help the farmers.
