Malakand agency: Unidentified attacker kills four people

Levies informed the villagers and handed over the bodies to relatives after postmortem.

DARGAI: Four people were killed when an unidentified attacker opened fire at them in Baz Darra, Malakand Agency, on Monday. A Levies senior official told The Express Tribune that four people from Sargah came to Palai bazaar to sell wood. On their way back to their village, a man ambushed them, killing three on the spot and injuring one. The official added that personnel on duty at Manzaray Baz Darra checkpoint heard the gunshots and rushed to the spot. They shifted the dead and the injured to Palai Rural Health Centre (RHC) and launched a search operation in the area. The injured Sardar Hussain told police that he and his companions were heading back home when a man holding an AK-47 opened fire at them killing Jehanzeb and Amir Bahadur, two brothers, and his neighbor Hukam Dad on the spot and injuring him severely. Hussain later succumbed to his injuries at the RHC. Levies informed the villagers and handed over the bodies to relatives after postmortem.
