Justice on wheels: K-P judges to examine mobile courts in Manila

The aim is to impart speedy and convenient justice for people who find it hard to access existing courts.

PESHAWAR:


Six judges from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) are set to leave for Manila today (Monday) to examine mobile courts in the Philippines.


The team, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program, will stay in Manila till February 16 to study the mobile courts there and present a proposal for the same back in K-P.

Peshawar High Court (PHC) Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan had announced the introduction of mobile courts in 2012.

The aim is to impart speedy and convenient justice for people who find it hard to access existing courts.

PHC Director Human Rights Cell Riffat Amir, K-P Judicial Academy Director General Hayat Ali Shah, additional session Judge Inamullah Wazir, civil judges Imranullah and Fazl-e-Wadud and Mansehra Judge Nadia Syed are the six who will travel to Manila.
