Carl Frampton clinched the European super-bantamweight title after stunning Kiko Martinez in a ninth-round knockout, according to Sky Sports. Martinez, a three-time champion, was not about to let his credentials be challenged as he gave his opponent the toughest workout of his 16-fight career. “I told him I would out-box him at the start and out-fight him at the end,” Frampton told Sky Sports. “I went in with one of the hardest punchers in the division and I could take them all day. It feels amazing. I want to thank everyone for coming out here. I want the whole of Belfast to be proud of me.”
