MIRANSHAH: Security forces on Saturday defused two roadside bombs in North Waziristan and imposed a curfew in most parts of the agency.

According to an official, two bombs planted by unidentified militants on Miranshah-Mir Ali road near Karam Kot were found and defused when a forces’ convoy was moving through the area. Consequently, North Waziristan Political Agent Siraj Ahmad Khan imposed a curfew in Miranshah, Datta Khel, Mir Ali, Razmak and Dossali and gunship helicopters started surveillance in the area. Announcements were made from the local mosques through loudspeakers informing tribesmen to restrict their movement to their homes and stay away from the main routes of the agency.
