KARACHI: The police and Rangers in Karachi have managed to bring down incidents of target killings despite having limited resources and man power, claimed Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, on Saturday.

He was speaking to the media after attending the Soyem of the former sports minister, Dr Muhammad Ali Shah.

The chief minister claimed that the government knew how to deal with trouble makers.

“We have called in police from other districts which will be deployed all over Karachi to prevent crimes,” he explained.

He added that he had given complete freedom to police and Rangers to take action against criminals regardless of the party they are affiliated with.

He also mentioned that the police will continue to target criminals despite the complaints.

Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, who also spoke to the media on Saturday, warned that the upcoming general elections elections will not be entirely transparent.
