KARACHI: Jalil Khan cruised into the men’s singles final of the 11 Westbury Ranking tennis Open as he outclassed Abdul Rehman 6-1, 6-1 at the DA Club yesterday.

Jalil will now face his younger brother Yasir in the final. Top seed Aqeel Khan had excused himself from playing due to his international tour to Iran and as a result Rehman got a walkover in the quarter-final.

Meanwhile Kinza Ghanchi defeated Hajra Nadeem 6-3, 3-6, 10-7 to progress in to the women’s semi-final, while Neha Khan defeated Saba Ahmed  6-1, 6-0 to book a place against Nadeem in the final round.

In another match, Talha Zubair set up the boys’ under-17 singles final with Malik Hamza as he defeated Nazif Ahmed in 6-2, 6-3, while Hamza overcame Dawar Rehan 3-6, 6-4, 10-8.
