Crime Against Children: Kidnapped child, 2, found dead

SIALKOT: The body of a two-and-a-half-year-old girl, who was kidnapped from in front of her house 10 days ago, was found on a roadside on Thursday.

Police said the girl, daughter of Zulfiqar, was playing in the street in front of her uncle’s house in Choinda area, before she went missing. Zulfiqar said he and his family, who were visiting his brother’s house in the area, looked for girl everywhere before they informed the police.

Ten days later, he said, police informed them that the girl’s body was found on the roadside near the house she was kidnapped from. The body has sent for a post-mortem examination.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rana Zahid directed Saddar SHO Rana Nadeem to conduct an inquiry into the incident.
