The match resulted in India getting the 7th place in the World Cup with Pakistan coming last.
The Pakistani team had won the toss and elected to bat setting a target of 193 for the Indian team. Pakistan had lost seven wickets, while India lost only four before successfully chasing the target in 46 overs.
Nida Dar scored the highest for Pakistan with 68 runs off 100 balls and remained not out till the end of the innings. M Raj scored a century for India and also remained not out.
Pakistan were housed in the stadium after hotels showed reluctance to provide hospitality to the tourists amid threats from right-wing political parties in India. The decision drew heavy criticism, raising questions on the Indian cricket board’s ability to hold ICC events.

I congratulate the girls! They are brave, they are not losers, they are winners, having played under extenuating circumstances and in a hostile environment! Imagine playing [and expected to play well] when fear of the unknown is tugging at your heart!

If India can't provide proper security then really they shouldn't be holding such events. It's pathetic that the team was confined inside the stadium.
Anyone who thinks that the girls were living in tents on the ground should know that there is a 5 star clubhouse by the stadium and thats where they stayed. Even PCB has followed the same model and are building a clubhouse in islamabad stadium.

In india we do not build luxury hotels along stadium.And ICC is ruled by BCCI. Live with it.

You are absolutely right. The Good People Pakistan must take this oportunity to Convince and Force the Pakistani Government to Ban all Indian Sports to participate in Pakistani Sports as also "Kick India in the Face" by refusing to let Pakistani Sports Teams play in or agist any Indian Sports Teams. . Surely Indian Sports losing huge sums of Money by not playing with Pakistan will bring the Indians to their senses. . Cheers

Cricket is the most lucrative sport in India. BCCI has enough money to organize ICC events giving full security to all the teams. Not to worry about your ladies cricket team. They are being cared for well. They should have stayed in a hotel, but the place where they are staying is not too shabby either.
Pakistani women team could n't win a single match in this world cup and it was inevitable because instead of practicing for such an important tournament they were busy in visiting beauty parlors for makeovers and photo sessions.
