Acting on a tip off, police intercepted the car of excise inspector, Janib Raza Zardari, and allegedly seized around 80 kilogrammes of hashish from his vehicle.
Investigations SSP Naveed Khawaja confirmed the arrest, and said that the excise officer was involved in smuggling drugs within the city. Further investigation was underway.
