"Today you can see that I am alive. I can speak, I can see you, I can see everyone and I am getting better day by day," said the 15-year-old in the statement made before she underwent surgery on Saturday to repair her skull.
“It’s just because of prayers of people, because of all the people men, women, children, all of them have prayed for me and because of these prayers that I am better,” she thanked.
“This is a second life. I want to serve these people and for this we have organised Malala fund.”
Malala further said she wanted to see every child of Pakistan get educated and for this purpose, quality schools would be established in the country from the "Malala Fund".

@US Centcom: what is your statement aboutthe girls not even able to survive your Drone-aid ?
@Kamran khan:
It is Beyond idiotic when someone displays his idiocy. An honorary citizenship does not bestow legal citizenship entitlements. It is an honor granted by many countries, to show how much they respect an individual and to demonstrate what they consider as a model citizen.
It is a great honor to be given an honorary citizenship of any city/state. But, it is no more than another honor - like various awards govt's give.
I have seen many messages in Pakistani newspapers berating Malala, her achievements and also terming the shooting/aftermath as a sham. I pity those individuals, because leave alone understanding importance of what Malala has achieved, they can't even stand worldwide honor given to a fellow young citizen!!
Some people on the social media, and on forums were deliberately trying to defame her by saying she is a conspiracy, making drama and so so. So now it is a big slap on the faces of her critics. I understand that those people were jealous from her fame, that how a 14 year girl has got that much international fame, which they would dream for. I pray that she would get better and hopefully would be selected for the Nobel peace prize in October.
@Kamran khan: Allah SWT does not break His promise. Allah SWT chooses to bestow honor on whom so ever he chooses. He promises reward for those who strive for self improvement with the goal of serving others. This effort is considered jihad e afzal. Malala is a shining light that pierces through the darkess in the souls of the bigots and hypocrites represent. She makes a shiver run through the spineless cowards.
Those with a warped belief system will concoct a conspricracy; they try to look tall by discounting the virtue of others. Forget what this brave girl aspires. Tell us if you can do an iota of what this girl has accomplished.
@Kamran khan: You bring disgrace to the Khan name with your comments. Instead of praising the bravery of the girl and appreciating the kindness of "strangers" you are besmirching the good name of the family. Shame on you! BTW what have you done for your country or for that matter for you community?
A friend ran into malala and her family some time back in birmingham, and just to make it clear to all the retards thinking that this was all a big conspiracy, my friend could see the wound on malala's head even thou she was covering it up in a hat, and she cud barely speak.
@Kamran khan:
How intolerant, petty and nonsensical does one have to be against a famous school girl who was targeted for murder by religious fanatics in Pakistan? Italy, which is safer and progressive than Pakistan, offered them citizenship and you're upset her father accepted it? Of course her father took a job in the UK to be closer to his daughter, who just got shot in the head.
Maybe someone being shot by religious extremists is a fictional 'drama' to you due to your prejudice or programmed paranoid conspiratorial mistrust of the 'media' or 'establishment', but its a reality for others who aren't so insensitive or deluded in regards to current events.
Kamran Khan,
Are you not satisfied yet ? Do you know how she looks now, after what the beasts have done to her ?
And yes her father is a brave person. He led the Swat Aman Jirga in the most troubled of times, and spoke openly when no one else could dare. They have done their bet, and they don't have to do it over and over again to get the approval of his majesty.
why Malala's dad has facial expressions like a politician ? is it only me or some one else sees it too ? just saying...
@Kamran khan: And I feel pity on your thinking.
Don't forget to praise the initial operation done in Pakistan. The British doctors stated that this first operation in Pakistan was a great job and was the main reason for her recovery.
@ ch Allah daad --- malala ur so brave that ull never go back to Pakistan Because of ur brave-re-re ur dad got job in pakistani consulate ( bramingham ).Italy offered you nationality and your dad accacted n applied for it without wasting a minute.shame on ET for biggin up this stupid drama . And I feel sorry for all the fools who believe in every thing which is told by media and establishment ..
@something true:
Sounds like you rather have wished the religious extremist TTP succeeded and shot her dead instead and ended the matter. Why else would one object to this famous education activist and assassination survivor's interview?
This is all thanks to the sincerity of the British doctors and the NHS hospital for Children in Birmingham where Malala is admitted.
oh no, not her again
Heartfelt and sincere thanks to the surgeons and the medical team of the Hospital, incredible great job accomplished!.............God bless your Queen and Prince Chaar-lus (Punjabi version!)
@Ch. Allah Daad, you are a very innocent man and future of Pakistan :(
A brave girl from the soil of brave people!!! get well soon!! @all conspiracy theorist, kindly see her latest video and see for urself that she has got severe facial palsy on one side and can hardly move one side of her face.
I salute your bravery girl. Wish you a happy and peaceful life in Britain. Pak is not safe for you so please stay there as long as situation gets better.
