Likeminded political parties – including Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (Likeminded group), Sunni Tehreek, and nationalist parties from Sindh and Balochistan – would also take part in the protest sin-in.
According to media reports, all PML-N lawmakers have reached the federal capital to take part in the sit-in to be led by opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and senior PML-N politician Raja Zafarul Haq. Participants would march up to the main office of ECP.
PML-N Information Secretary Mushahidullah told Daily Express that they would stage dharna at all costs and that it would not be postponed. “The Election Commission is an independent and neutral institution. We will not allow any political party to put pressure on the Election Commission,” he added. “An independent election commission is necessary for free and fair elections.”
Mushahidullah said that the PML-N has invited all political parties to take part in the dharna. The sit-in is aimed at pressuring the government to ensure transparent re-verification of voter lists in Karachi.
Met Office has forecast rain in the federal capital. And Chaudhry Nisar has asked organizers to arrange 1,500 umbrellas for the participants of dharna. A water-proof tent has also been arranged at the site of scheduled sit-in.

And now they cancelled it HAHA what a farce.
What were they doing for the five years. Now it comes to their personal interests so they now are going to stage this Drama. They dont care about people's interests.
For God sake stop this non-sense!
Nonsensical "dharna". Objectives completely unclear. I guess they just want to make their presence felt. Nothing else.
@Ch. Allah Daad: Thanks Allah Daad ... you come along with TRUTH of being PML-N supporter ... Had close eyes on your comments on ET from last 18 months ... lols
if same thing is done by some one else then "JAMURIAT KO KHATRA HAI". now where are TV anchors???? ab jamuriat ko koi khatra nahi kiya?
Let see how long they Sit in "RAIN is around the corner"
This will help to minimize the unseen pressure on Election Commission and also will encourage the ECP to verify the voter list in Karachi accordingly.
Let the noora kushti begin
PMLN might be thinking that people give more votes to those parties who conduct sit-ins. what a copy paste party we have with no vision of its own.. you are opposition.. why not raise this issue (if any) in parliament??.. why to create havoc?
At first reading I read the "dharna" as "Drama" my mistake; but what a co-incident?
PML(N) supporter but not in favour of Dharna.
Opposing and critisizing the man recommended by them only. Just last month, they were critic of Qadri dharna, and now doing it themselves. Hyporacy at its best.
What non-sense. They are the ones who will select our care-taker PM. They are the ones who have nominated this Election Commissioner. So, why are they protesting? A bunch of deluded people.
