Syed A. Mateen | 14 years ago | Reply May Al-Mighty Allah rest her soul in peace. Ameen. Let me correct the readers of these columns that Dr. Shama Khalid who was appointed on March 22, 2010 was NOT the first and only female governor of Pakistan as reported in the news. The first female Governor of Pakistan was Begum Raana Liaquat Ali Khan who served as Governor of Sindh from February 15, 1973 to February 28, 1976. I would request the team of Express Tribune to carefully investigate the facts and figures before publishing any news online.
