Karachi violence: Two shot dead in separate attacks

DSP Qamar Ahmed said that two armed men riding a motorcycle targeted the victims.

KARACHI: Two people were shot dead and one was wounded in separate acts of targeted attacks on Saturday.

In Sohrab Goth, an internet café owner, Waheed Shahani, 35, and his customer, Abdul Aleem, 32, were targeted in Faqira Goth. Shahani died on the spot, while Aleem succumbed to his injuries during treatment at the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

DSP Qamar Ahmed said that two armed men riding a motorcycle targeted the victims, adding that the motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained as the family did not approach the police.

A young man, Abbas Fida Ali, 30, was critically injured in a targeted attack in North Nazimabad within Shara-e-Noor Jahan police remits. Police officials said that the victim, belonging to Bohra community, was standing at a fish shop when armed men riding a motorcycle shot him.
