Blast: CD shop blown up in Nowshera
Militants planted explosives near a CD shop in Iqbal Market destroying a shop named Palwasha.
RISALPUR:
Unidentified militants destroyed a CD shop by planting explosives in Sherin Kotay area of Risalpur, Nowshera district early Saturday morning. Inspector Ishaq Khan of Risalpur police said the incident occured at around 3am. Militants planted explosives near a CD shop in Iqbal Market destroying a shop named Palwasha, while 10 other shops were also damaged. The inspector added that police and bomb disposal squad (BDS) rushed to the site and launched a search operation. However, no suspects were arrested. According to a BDS official, 2.5 kilogrammes of explosives were used in the blast. Following the incident, police arrested the watchman and took him in custody for interrogation. An FIR has been registered against unidentified militants on the complaint of the shop’s owner, Faiz Muhammad.
