Crime: Woman killed, cop’s rifle snatched

The Pindigheb police have registered a report and are investigating.

ATTOCK: A woman was killed by her husband and a rifle was snatched from a police official in separate incidents in Attock district.

Unidentified robbers snatched a rifle from a police constable in Attock on Friday night before racing off. Constables Nasrullah Khan and Aftab Khan were on their way to Maira Sharif in a private vehicle. When they were near Thatti Saido Shah, robbers who were waiting by the road stopped the vehicle the constables were travelling in and forcefully snatched rifle from their possession before escaping.

The Pindigheb police have registered a report and are investigating. Meanwhile, a man killed his wife and escaped from the crime scene. Police sources said Sher Afsar Khan, a resident of Dakhner village, shot dead his wife Robia over a domestic dispute and escaped from the crime scene. Police have registered a report and are investigating.
