Ramna: Robbery bid foiled, man injured; house robbed

A man was shot and injured by armed persons and a house robbed in different areas of Islamabad during the last 24 hours.


In the first incident, armed robbers broke into a house in Sector G-12 and held the inmates hostage. One of the robbers opened fire and injured a senior citizen when he resisted them and escaped without looting valuables.

Meanwhile, another house was robbed in Sector G-10/4. According to the Ramna police, three armed robbers broke into a house and held the family hostage. They ransacked the house after locking the inmates in a room and made away with cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs2million.

Moreover, the same police arrested Fazal Khan from Chungi No 26 and seized 2.2kg of hashish from him and arrested Mubin Khadim and Syed Jafar and recovered two 30-bore pistols with 50 bullets and 110 grams of heroin from them. Police registered cases against them but no arrests or recoveries had been made till the filing of this story.
