KARACHI:

Pakistan’s IBSF world amateur champion Mohammad Asif continued his dominance by pipping local cueist Praprut Chaithanasakun 4-3 despite being two sets down in the quarter-finals of the Sangsom Mukdahan Cup in Thailand yesterday. He won with scores 47-66, 26-52, 71-29, 62-50, 100-29, 7-72 and 71-5.

Asif had whipped Thailand’s Kritsanut Lertsattayathon in just an hour to storm into quarters, taking an easy win with scores of 95-22, 70-8, 62-27 and 75-24.  The 30-year-old has moved close to clinching another title which
could add to his impressive streak that saw him go undefeated throughout the IBSF World Championship in Bulgaria recently.
