Court orders: SHO directed to appear before court

The petitioner said that the SHO had told him that he was not bound to obey court orders.

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Tariq Mehmood Zargham on Tuesday summoned the Shahdara SHO on a petition seeking departmental action against him for refusing to obey court orders. Petitioner Shahid Siddique said that he had visited Shahdara police station a few days ago and produced the court order which directed that action be taken against people extorting money from bus and van operators. The petitioner said that the SHO had told him that he was not bound to obey court orders. The petitioner said the SHO had registered a case against the Arain Group but was not ready to arrest them. He asked the court to direct the SHO to arrest the group.
