In an earlier interview, Sikandar Jatoi had repeatedly pointed out that his son, Shahrukh Jatoi was completing his MBA in Australia. If that is the case, how could he be 17 years old?

This question was posed by Shahzeb Khanzada to the families of Shahzeb Khan and Kamran Faisal in a recent episode of To the Point that focussed on how the authorities had muddled the two cases.

An audience member mentioned that his nephew, who had been present when Khan was shot, had been forced by the investigation officer, Mubeen, to identify a Mark II as the car driven by the suspect when he was actually driving a silver Toyota Corolla.

Shahzeb’s father, DSP Aurangzeb Khan, mentioned that he had received quite a few offers to withdraw his case. “I’ve worked for 32 years in this profession and justly deserve a promotion,” he explained. “However, I will not accept a bribe.”

Another audience member raised the question that if Jatoi was actually 17 years old, as he claimed, he should be tried in court for leaving the country on a fake passport, for possessing a gun and for driving without a licence. Why has he not been tried for these charges, he questioned.

Claiming that the medical report that stated Jatoi to be a 17-year-old was fake, Shahzeb’s mother mentioned how they had been asked to take money and withdraw the case. “Can he give me the money that will allow me to buy my child’s life?” she asked. “I will take my case back if he will give me my son back.”

Kamran Faisal’s father, Abdul Hameed, explained that he had expected the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau to conduct a thorough investigation before pronouncing judgement on how his son died. “Claiming that this is a suicide without assessing everything and without waiting for the forensics results is hallucination,” he explained. He also mentioned that no one had come to his home to investigate the case after the body was given to the family. The claim that he committed suicide using a cummerbund is highly suspicious because the fan or the cummerbund can break easily, he said.

“Shahzeb Khan is a brother who would make any sister proud,” an enraged nine-year-old claimed on the show.
