
A low-intensity bomb planted along the boundary wall of the hostel of Quaid-e-Azam Public School and College exploded at around 12pm, damaging one of the walls along with the main gate, said Swabi police official Izhar Shah.
The official said the police rushed to the site following the incident, adding that no casualties were reported as students were attending classes and the hostel was empty.

Around one kilogramme of explosives was used in the bomb, said a member of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). An FIR was registered and investigation has started.
On Tuesday last week, two buses parked in the premises of a private school were damaged when low-intensity bombs planted by unidentified militants exploded in Chaut Lahor tehsil, Swabi. No casualty was reported as all students were inside the school premises at the time.
