The victims were attacked by unidentified armed assailants near Kashmir Road, Sohrab Goth, Gulistan-e-Jauhar and New Karachi.
The former president of Karachi's electronic market Muhammad Irfan, who was shot earlier this week, also succumbed to his injuries.
Sunni Tehreek Chief Sarwat Ijaz Qadri condemned the killing of the ASWJ member.
The ASWJ had earlier warned the government that it will stage a sit-in for an indefinite period of time if the men who have targeted the group’s workers are not arrested soon.
Combat extortion
Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, during his meeting with Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, asked the provincial government to devise a plan to combat extortion in Karachi, in collaboration with the city’s business community.
He called for appropriate measures to be taken against extortionists, target killers and other criminal elements.
The premier observed that police officials who failed to follow instructions should be removed immediately.

@Azi - "Enjoy your peak time while you can, your time will come too".
Well, we're past our peak time - this was when Muslims ruled us for the past 800 years full of barbarism, forced conversions, brutalities (not different from what is being played out in Pakistan these days) and we're through the ordeal successfully.
There in no value left of a human in Pakistan. Its pity and sad! :( Govt should educate people to stay away from the sectarianism and be more tolerant.
@indian:
Enjoy your peak time while you can, your time will come too.
ASWJ always threatens to sit on an indefinate strkke but they never followup on their words.
What will the president's resignation achieve? Many people who write comments here want his resignation.
The business people in KARACHI must create their own security apparatus. Do not depend on the government. Do not depend on the police. Create a fund that will employ and train people to be vigilent. Take control of Karachi and route out all evil.
@ Mohammad Ali Siddiqui: I thought as a president you should have tried to give solutions instead of resigning. Resignation is not a solution. Its not that Pakistanis don't know the causes and solutions. They very well know what all is going on and who and why its happening. Nothing is going to change unless people truthfully accept their wrong doings and join hands not only for Pakistan but for entire humanity. Time to stop looking at world through binary thinking of Muslim/ Non Muslim identities. Intolerance and violence has entered deep into Pakistani society. Physical intimidation and filthy language can be seen among so called respected people while on live TV shows. Time to stop glorifying these self appointed Ghazis who kill anyone in the name of Islam.
Someone above asked "are they muslims?".
They may be muslims but I m sure they aren't human?
Why not condemn it for ALL.. Your thinking is what is the root of this problem!!!!
@ANakhtar: Why is it you guys always omitting the full context of that "killing one man is killing the entire humanity" passage? On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people" Since when are Muslims "children of Israel?" Say it's peaceful if you like. But that quote most certainly is not the evidence. If you have to twist a passage like that for a quote reflecting peacefulness instead of having trouble choosing which full quotes to use, it appears it's only peaceful through deception and that is most certainly not helping you or your fellow Muslims.
Life in Karachi is unfortunately getting much troubled. Rehamn Malik today said that first week of February may see law and order getting worst. May Allah always bless us
RIP pakistan :)
Im sure the PM's escort team could single handedly control karachis situation if the honorable PM really wanted
Had I be the President or the Prime Minister of Pakistan, I would have resigned from my position long time back due to my inefficiency that I was unable to stop the target kiilings in Karachi.
Are they Muslims? How can they take human beings lives? Killing one man is killing the entire humanity
few days ago, CM saying all is well in Karachi
PM Raja is aksing the team to devise plan for extortion cases !!!! WHAT A JOKE....
Here we go again. May Allah save us
