Yes contradictory report i am also confused but govt news channel doordarshan says this missile range as 1500 km.This missile which was tested was K-5 with range of 1500 km i think, the other missile in K series are K-15 of 750 km range (already tested) and K-4 having double range of K-5 i.e 3000km under development. So overall i think India has three missiles i.e K-15 750km range,K-5 this one 1500km range and K-4 3000km range.K-15 and K-5 already completed developmental trial and ready for induction and K-4 under development. So DD,CNN and TOI reporting range of 1500 is correct since other source says about K-15 which everybody knows is 750km but this one is K-5.
