Saeed was speaking to Express News during an interview.
“I welcome him; I will help him with his stay here,” the JuD chief said, adding that Shahrukh will be respected in Pakistan.
Saeed's invitation comes in response to Shahrukh's recent statements about life as a Muslim in India. The Indian superstar - in a first person account - talked about how he became an “inadvertent object of political leaders.”
In the Outlook Turning Points magazine, Shahrukh said “I sometimes become the inadvertent object of political leaders who choose to make me a symbol of all that they think is wrong and unpatriotic about Muslims in India.”
“There have been occasions when I have been accused of bearing allegiance to our neighbouring nation rather than my own country — this even though I am an Indian, whose father fought for the freedom of India. Rallies have been held where leaders have exhorted me to leave and return what they refer to my original homeland,” he wrote.
Saeed is considered as most wanted terrorist by India for his alleged association with Lashkar-e-Taiba and its anti-India activities. He, however, denies any wrongdoing and links to militants.

SRK himself is responsible for raising this controversy. No muslim is discriminated systematically in India. If any it is sporadic which is true in every country. There is APJ Abdul Kalam and hosts of Muslim celebrities in India. Bollywood regularly invite Pakistani artists. They perform here and earn money. India has given most favoured Nation status to Pakistan which Pakistan is dithering to give it to India. Sania Mirza married a Pakistani and still plays for India. A kind gesture. But would Hafiz Saeed be as quick to sympathize and offer protection to the plights of religious minorities targeted in Pakistan? A better solution, perhaps, would be to brainstorm ways and means of solving the problem of targeting people who come from different religions and ethnicities. Rather than encourage Shahrukh and Muslims in general who feel persecuted to hop across the border, rather than re-create the demand that India and Pakistan should stand for Hindu and Muslim respectively, rather than foster stubborn religious nationalisms, maybe we should sympathize with the general mass of targeted Muslims and Hindus in both countries, and put an end to this division and persecution. To Indian commentors who have rightly said that SRK has been genuinely appreciated by ALL Indians - regardless of their religious affiliation. Totally true indeed. Fully agree on that one. However, the fact is that things don't always remain the same. Things change, people change, attitudes change. Bollywood ITSELF has changed tremendously, hasn't it? A great many Indians (Hindus, Muslims) have grown OUT of religious bigotry. But a great many HAVE grown INTO it. And these are the ones whom it's difficult tgo 'take on' - e.g. (late) Bal Thakeray, Narendra Modi and others. The problem with this man is that he carries the "Muslim" chip on his shoulder, much like his mentor Yuosuf Khan urf Dilip Kumar. Such people generally have a genius for self-destructive behaviour. Why don't Salman and Aamir have such problems. We are proud of Aamir but it is doubtful if anyone is proud of Shahrukh although he is a well-known face internationally of Bollywood and more successful. His mentor went to Pakistan and accepted Nishan-e-Imtiaz from Nawaz Sharif. That act was quite imprudent and put him in a dog house with his compatriots after that. No honours, no accolades, no one gives a damn about him after that. Currently, his mentor has been sued by his own two brothers for breach of promise and trust.

When SRK was detained by Immigration authorities while entering USA, Govt of India jumped in and US border control authorities apologized. He would not have become a mega star in India had people of India looked at him with religious tinted glasses. They adulated him because of his superior acting and who he projected to be who he was. For the same reason he is in the spotlight, his minor or major flaws will also get magnified as happened when he showed his arrogance in a playground against a security guard. We Indian people understand that being human, success can bring bouts of arrogance in a person but it will get corrected because he is in the limelight being an actor. I also do not agree that Pakistani sportsmen should have unconditional, unhindered access to India EVERY other time. SRSK is both right and wrong in saying that politics and sports/art should not be mixed but it does get mixed because we do not want to give encouragement to wrong behavior from other side of the border. @Maher: Who is Hafiz Saeed to call for a foreign national to move to Pakistan? Only the foreign office can decide whether anyone can or cannot legally come to Pakistan. I don't think that most Pakistanis would welcome more foreigners in the country, Shahrukh Khan included. There is trouble enough dealing with those who are there in terms of jobs and integration. There are millions of Biharis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, Afghans and Rohingas who all want to come to Pakistan but that doesn't mean the native people of Pakistan will welcome them. I think Pakistan should help its own people first before worrying about the nationals of other countries.

However given my study of Pakistan and other Muslim countries I can say that Muslims till now have not been able to live with themselves. On the contrary they have been relatively peaceful when they have been living with Hindus or Christians or Buddhists or Jews. Interesting, isn't it ?

He was offered films and he acted in them and the general public , majority Hindus appreciated it and he got more work.If there was discrimination he would not have got a single film.He has many hits because all sections of the society watched his films He earned his name,fame and wealth in Mumbai ,yet he kept harping on Pakistani players after 26/11 in IPL and this hurt the sentiments of a lot of residents of the city.He was seen as ungrateful to the city which gave him everything.

Shahrukh Khan's approach towards how Muslims are being dealt with in India is not manoeuvred nor tempted by anything other than what Muslims are actually feeling on India's dealing with them. What a secular country which boasts to be the biggest democracy is unable to stand fast in front of unlawful and unethical demands of Shiv Sena's extremists for not allowing Pakistani players to play hockey on their soil. Wow! Biggest democracy seems to have smallest heart. Well, Shahrukh had to face unprecedented agony and anguish of extremists when he had just said that Pakistani players are good players and should be included in IPL. Not including the best players in cricket world clearly shows how cheap is the approach of Indians. Shahrukh Khan, a super star, is an Indian, a devout Indian with whose involvement in film industry hundreds of Indians are earning sustenance for their families is now being dealt with in an unwanted and inappreciable way which must be stopped. Otherwise, India will soon lose its claim to be both a biggest democracy and a secular country. Thanks to Foreign Secretary and Foreign Minister who came in public with evidence how Indians and not Pakistanis were involved in train blasts, and how much India is vulnerable to Hindu extremism.Thank God, Indian govt seems to have been little clear after more than half a century about always wrongly blaming Pakistan for every sin or crime that happens in India.
