Relocation: Fuel stations to be given other land

Thirteen fuel stations that were demolished for the construction of the Metro Bus Service will be given alternative sites on lease for 15 years, at the end of which the sites will be put up for auction, said Lahore Commissioner Jawad Rafique Malik. At a meeting with a Pakistan Petroleum Association delegation and the owners of the demolished stations, the commissioner said that a high-profile committee had been set up to consider the problem and they had recommended alternative sites. He said that the committee would consult with the owners and complete its recommendations within a week.
