Police Raids: 11 arrested in 24 hours

90 liters of liquor and illicit weapons were recovered from suspects, says police.

BAHAWALPUR: Eleven men were arrested on Tuesday by the police at various police station across the district. They said 90 liters of liquor and illicit weapons were recovered from them. Uch Sharif police said they arrested Allah Ditta alias Ranjoo who was wanted in a murder case. Channi Goth police arrested Nazeer Ahmad, who was wanted for several robberies. Wanted men Akbar, Muhammad Ishtiaq, Sagheer Hussain and Arshad were arrested by Bahawalpur police. Khairpur Tamewali police unearthed a distillery and arrested Muhammad Ismail, Farooq and Muhammad Asghar. They also seized 20 liters of liquor from there. Uch Sharif police recovered 30 liters of liquor form Muhammad Yaqoob, who had set up a distillery at a rented house. Nowshera police raided a distillery and arrested Abdul Majeed. They recovered 40 liters of liquor from his possession.
