Eid Milad security: 3,696 police officials to protect 276 processions

Police have declared 21 processions sensitive and extra police force have been deployed along the routes.

The law enforcement agencies have taken elaborate measures to beef up security across the city in connection with Rabiul Awal 12 processions and milad sessions.


According to City Police, 276 milad processions will be taken out in the division; 162 in Faisalabad district, 47 in Toba Tek Singh, 34 in Chiniot and 33 in Jhang district.

Police have declared 21 processions sensitive and extra police force have been deployed along the routes. Seventeen special teams will frisk participants at these rallies.

The teams will be given four sniffer dogs. Walkthrough gates have been installed at 71 points at the places declared sensitive.

Some 3,696 police officers will perform duties during the milad processions.

The police teams will be supervised by six superintendents of police.
