The Supreme Court constituted a two-member bench which will be headed by Justice Jawad S Khwaja.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said that the National Accountability Bureau should continue investigating the rental power cases and that Faisal's death should be investigated, too.
Earlier, NAB informed the court that there was no FIR registered for Faisal’s death, when Justice Gulzar inquired if there was a case registered.
The Supreme Court rejected a petition requesting the court to stop hearing the rental power cases. The chief justice clearly said that the Supreme Court will not stop hearing the case.
Former housing minister Faisal Saleh Hayat, who is also a petitioner in the rental power cases, requested the court that another inquiry should be carried out, because the was important as Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was also implicated.
Faisal, who was investigating the rental power plants scam, involving the prime minister, was found hanging from the ceiling of his hostel room on Friday. Though an autopsy report ruled his death a suicide, the deceased’s family and colleagues disputed the findings and called for a judicial probe.

@fawd10 At least he is more awake than you and doing something. This nation is pathetic, does not want to do anything themselves other than blaming those who are trying.
Dear Officers with conscience Next time ask CJ to give you the security if he wants to get things done.
CJ of our country is sleeping please don't bother him.
@Lalai: Very pasimistic approach. Nobody should be provided justice because Hazara killers are not caught.
I have to tell you only 2 stories of justice. Back in 1948 50’s we lived in Bihar colony Massan road. My father, a law abiding citizen built his house according to blue prints and bylaws. Some how the changes come to Bihar colony planning and the administrators come to break a part of our house with out court order with help of Baghdadi police. My father defended his property and warned the police if you enter my property with out court order or warrant I have right to shoot and defend my property. The SHO listen to my father asked the administrator for court order and return with out breaking the wall. You can still see this unique property on Google map
The second is Sindh high court order in favor of my brother admission to Dow medical college, was dismissed by health minister in 70’s PPP. When it was bring to notice of the ordering judge. His comment was “we can do the justice but can not implement it”

It is very encouraging to see that court has turned the note into petition for opening the case in the court itself. We expect the the court to pronounce its judgement before dissolution of assembly otherwise the whole purpose of this excercise will be lost.
Wake up people of Pakistan, before its too late.
Two senior most judges should have been nominated on the bench.
Dear CJ, I don't think constitution allows this much subjectivity in implementing the laws.Going to any length to provide justice to a very selected few while ignoring the rest poor helpless souls isn't justice at all. People of Pakistan definitely need justice but it should be across the board, impartial and for all. by the way can we expect a suo moto on killings of 85 Hazaras in Quetta?? The killers are still roaming freely.

RIP Kamran...May your killers be soon sentenced!
World must be laughing at Pakistan. A person investigating RPP case in which PM is involved, hangs himself and his laptop is missing.......... And to top it all FIR has not been registered as per this article.......
