RAWALPINDI:

The police have unable to track down suspects in the murder case of a family of three, who were strangled in Fauji Colony on Sunday.

Tassawar Husain, his wife Sadia (earlier incorrectly reported as Sayyeda) and their seven-month-old daughter were strangled, allegedly by Sadia’s brother and uncles. Allah Ditta, Tassawar’s brother, had nominated four people in the murder case.

Pirwadhai police Sub Inspector Abdul Waheed said they have formed police teams to find the suspects but have been unable to arrest any of the suspects.

Waheed said the police had sent Tassawar and Sadia’s mobile phones to the lab for data analysis. He added that they had collected forensic evidence from the house where the family was murdered and had sent it to Lahore for analysis.

He said they believe the information from the phones and forensic evidence will be enough to identify and implicate the murderers.
