The Professional Cricketers Association (PCA), England’s players’ union, is said to have “grave concerns” about the security situation in Pakistan and does not want its players to participate in the PSL, which is set to launch on March 26.
The PCA has contacted each country asking them to refuse issuing No Objection Certificates, which would deny players from partaking in the PSL.
PCA chief executive Angus Porter said, "Our advice is that players should not take part in the PSL” in a statement to the Mail on Sunday. "I'm certain England will not issue No Objection Certificates to their centrally contracted players."
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) has also caused some apprehension for ther PCA, but numerous English players took part in the first two editions.
Ravi Bopara, Owais Shah and Phil Mustard are among the English players in the BPL.

Its just 'advice'. Money solves a lot of problems. Even the apartheid South African regime was able to throw money and get several West Indies players to tour by giving them the status of Honorary Whites. . Pakistan is still not that bad.

@Ch. Allah Daad: I used to live in Sri Lanka and what you've said is totally incorrect. The Sri Lankan government never encouraged outsiders to stay away. It was quite the opposite in fact. Even when the war was on Sri Lanka used to get hundreds of thousands of foreign tourists visiting it every year. The situation was never as bad there as it is in Pakistan today. Mind you Pakistan doesn't have a tourist industry to begin with and, in fact, the locals don't take tourism seriously at all.
Pakistani cricket authorities are responisble for the mess we are in. After terrorist attack on Sri Lankan Team, if PCB themselves had requested other cricket playing nations to delay future tours untill normalcy returns, after couple of years their response would have been differente on PCB's invitations. PCB policy to invite other teams ignoring country's internal situation aided with threats and pressure tactics has back fired. When Sri Lanka was in turmoil, it was Sri Lankan authorities who use to request touring team to cancel the tour after a serious terrorist attack. On the other hand, PCB's behaviour shows that they don't care safety and security of other teams.

PCB stop embarrassing yourselves and us. Do yo really think cricketers are going to come to Pakistan super league?? Just let our team play at international venues and prove themselves.
Well I think the PCB should focus on their domestic cricket for the next 10 years as the situation is not going to be normal soon. They should not invite foreign players as the security situation is precarious and some bad incident might happen which can cause a great harm to Pakistan cricket. They should play in South Africa instead.
I live in London and I am not surprised PCA has issued this warning. Our ex Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, once said that over 90% of world's terrorism is linked to Pakistan. PCA very well know that if players go to Pakistan then they will come back in body bags. The terrorists who ambushed the Sri Lankan team have yet to be caught although the judiciary appears to be arresting anyone who they think are plasphemers. This is the sad story of today's Pakistan and judging from IMF's and ADB's recent assessment of the economy, Jinnah's creation has gone disasterously wrong. Pakistan is now technically bankrupt. I wish I could remove my birth place from my birth certificate. My grandchildren will have to be told that there was once a country called Pakistan where I was born and now it is history. RIP
Pakistan is such a dangerous country. Bombs going off everywhere. Mobs rioting practically every week. Why would anyone risk coming here?
