Explosion: Under construction house destroyed

Mathra police denied the incident, saying no one has approached them in this regard so far.

PESHAWAR: An under construction house was blown up in Choli Bala area within the jurisdiction of Mathra police station, late Thursday night. According to residents, the house of Sharafat was badly damaged in the powerful explosion. Unidentified persons had used mining dynamite, said a local. Mathra police, however, denied the incident, saying no one had approached them in this regard so far. Local people insisted the explosion had taken place, and said the police was reluctant to register an FIR.
