2012: Pindi traffic cops trained 1,800 students
The CTO says that 20 radio programmes were aired about the rules of traffic.

RAWALPINDI:
The City Traffic Police trained 1,800 people in 2012, which helped improve their driving skills and road sense. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Syed Ishtiaq Shah said the traffic police organised different courses for men and women besides arranging 250 lectures to create awareness about traffic rules. He said the police had also launched campaigns on road safety and prevention of dengue fever to educate the general public. The CTO said lectures relating to road-users were also delivered in schools and colleges. The CTO said that 20 radio programmes were aired about the rules of traffic and 150 programmes through multimedia in different locations.
