Check on medicine: DCO directs raids on medical stores

Mengal recommended prosecution of 15 medical stores and issuance of warning for four.

District Coordination Officer Noorul Amin Mengal has directed drug inspectors to raid medical stores and check the quality of medicine being sold there.


He issued these directions while chairing a District Quality Control Board meeting here at the Nadir Hall.

The meeting was attended by District Officer (Coordination) Waseema Umer, District Officer (Monitoring and Inquiry) Amin Akbar Chopra, DO (Health) Dr Saeed Elahi, members of the District Quality Control Board and drug inspectors.

Mengal reviewed 29 cases of sealed medical stores. He recommended prosecution of 15 medical stores and issuance of warning for four. He referred three cases to the Punjab Quality Control Board and kept one case pending.
