Winter woes: Snow compounds locals’ problems

HUNZA: Heavy snowfall in the upper areas of Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B) has compounded the problems of local people in various localities. Owing to the severe cold, the people are mostly staying indoors whereas the transportation system has been badly affected, including flight schedules between Islamabad and G-B. Moreover, the drop in mercury has also resulted in spread of many weather diseases caused due to change in weather.
