Showing solidarity: Doctors go on strike in Larkana
PMA Sindh president Saeed Memon warned of province-wide protests if the doctor was not released soon.

Doctors at the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU) and the Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana, boycotted their duties on Thursday to protest against the arrest of Prof. Saeed Ahmed Sangi on Wednesday. Sangi was reportedly arrested by a Federal Investigation Agency team, for visiting over 50 countries on a private passport that he had acquired without disclosing that he was a government servant. SMBBMU vice chancellor Prof. Akbar Haider Soomro had reportedly informed the federal interior ministry of Prof. Sangi’s trips. The Pakistan Medical Association Sindh president Saeed Memon warned of province-wide protests if the doctor was not released soon. Chandka Teachers Association president Dr Badaruddin Junejo added that the people of upper Sindh have been deprived of Dr Sangi’s specialist services.
